Recording off iplayer with my PC

Has anyone managed to record and save from iplayer ?
I am after recording something off BBC1 and be able to keep it after the 7 days deadline. Can anyone suggest certain software to do this ?? Cheers

Thanks for that ... just had a quick read about it and it appears to also remove the downloaded material after 30 days ...
"get_iplayer will attempt to remove its recorded content which is more than 30 days old"

After 30 days it just pops up a prompt asking if you want to delete the file, you can say no.

I googled the program I was looking for and then downloaded to my H/drive, during the procedure I was asked if I wish to download in a choice of 2 formats. I chose WMV, that was a over a month ago and still got em.
