Virgin modem upgrade

Hi guys

Had a look on the virgin website other day about the double your speed upgrade says my area is now upgraded and should see double speeds, i'm on 50 meg so should be on 100 meg, trouble is it's still showing up as 50meg on speedtests and downloading from newsgroups. An engineer has been booked for tomorrow is there anything I can try before he comes or will the superhub need changing

just register for the upgrade on the Vermin site.
they will send you a new (not so) Super hub kit.
if you log in to the Vermin site it should have a banner about doublespeed, click on that and register.

thanks for the reply virgin reckon i'm already on 100 meg, their system says that but i'm defo still on 50 meg, i'm using a superhub at min

did you do the test through speedtest.net? used it for years and is what virmin use

Yeah used speedtest showing 50 down 5 up

But if they have not yet sent you a super hub, you havent been upgraded fully yet.
I'd still register on the doublespeed section.

I am already using a superhub have done for about 2 years whilst i've been on 50 meg, doesn't seem to want to take the 100 meg update
