    Annoying Folder Presence

I have a Sumvison Cyclone Primus on which I store all my films, TV shows, Music, Photos etc.
It's all organised very neatly into seperate categories and alphabetised for ease of use.

For instance, when I plug it into the TV and access the hard drive, folders are displayed something like this....

    1.Films
    2.TV
    3.Documentaries
    4.Music
    5.PC Backup

However, lately I have been encumbered with the additional folder labelled '$AVG'. There are more folders inside it which either have nothing in them or files that my media player cannot read and so they're not showing up.
    That's annoying says I.
I know, I'll just hook it up to the PC and delete the file.
Actually, no I won't because it doesn't show up on the PC

Ahaaa... what if I change the folder options to show hidden files etc

Nope, that's no good because I still can't see this folder unless I plug the thing into the TV

Any ideas on how to remove the file without resorting to formatting?
I can't format because it's a 2TB HDD that's half filled with my various files and I don't have the necessary space elsewhere to store the files while a format takes place.

Have you tried GOOGLE ?? You have AVG antivirus software, correct? uncheck Hide protected operating system files
Some holders are hidden named by "$AVG". Is this - Microsoft Community

Don't worry, I sorted it. I just set up CCleaner to clean up that HD and the file is gone.

      Thanks anyway
