windows 8 mouse trouble

i have a packard bell laptop with windows 8 on it,my touch pad is not working and there is no cursor showing on the screen,any ideas how i can get it back working

press f1 or tap the corners of the touch pad

get a usb wireless mouse sorted

go there download the drivers for the mouse

If it was working just do a system restore to the day b4 it went missing...............

make sure its not a function key or a button to turn it off and on, you wouldn't belive how many ppl don't know about and have asked in the shop.......
