When converting mp3s to .wav to burn cd sometimes the total files size is just too much to fit on a standard cd, is there a simple way to compress or an alternative (smaller) file type that will still play on a domestic/car cd player. I use Easy CD-DA extractor, which has 24, 16, & 8 bit burn and there are several output options including ogg, flac wma, aac, ape etc but I doubt these would play on a standalone player?

you'd be better off makin an audio cd than makin .wav
is it not compatible to play mp3's?
other way around this is the aux or line in which would be located on the back of the cd player and u could just attach a ipod, phone etc.....
i use an ipod to play through my standard head unit using a modded tape connection which u can pick up for for a few quick off ebay

You can either overburn the cdr or, by default, there will be a 2 second pause between tracks,, you can close this to say .5 or if the album is mixed in lile some dance cds, just put it to 0sigpic
