    videos wont play from usb

hi, i have just bought a micro 32 gb usb card , hoping to put some videos on for my granddaughters new tablet. however , after i have about six videos on ( avi file) which all work fine while testing on my PC . after that a get a MSG error panel from windows media player saying " windows media player cannot play the file, the player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file " . but the file on my pc still plays fine , its only the file i,ve copied to the miro card that will not play , i have tried to play with vlc player but will not work. i have formatted the card ( a full format ) and tried again , six files work ,after that i get the error msg , any idea whats happening guys ,
    thaks

maybe its the 6th file that doesn't work

wipe of the first 5 files and try from he 6th

maybe the tablet can only take 16GB micro sd card or are u using a micro sd to usb adapter?

its not that it wont work on the tablet ,if i put the Miro card into a usb adapter and try it in my DVD player usb slot it will not work . as to the sixth file not playing , if the file will not play , i have then deleted all the files and put on the ones that would not work first , and now there playing fine , so i put on some more avi files and as soon as i put on the 7th file it will not play , even if was in the first six last time (and played fine)

you could possibly have ended up with a fake micro SD Card with a spoofed capacity. You can test the card with h2testw and know for sure one way or the other.
just select write and verify in the program, if it completes succesfully then the card is a genuine 32gb

It's a 4gb card faked to seem as though it's a 32gb card. return it and get your money back.

I normally get any memory cards/sticks etc from here:

convert the files to mp4 format then they should play on the tablet.

presume the card is fat32.. format to ntfs then try, if the option of ntfs is not availible in the format screen google will tell you how.

thanks for all the feedback guys, i think i have simply bought a fake sd card . i have since got a 32 gig samung card and it works fine , i did try to format in ntfs but it still would not work past 4 gig . so i will just have to use it as a 4gig card , i never paid much for it (which is maybe a clue to it been fake ) still a lesson learn't .
                      thanks again
