hi guys, need some advice, my son has a dell lappy currantly running windows xp, its got a 20gb hdd and just over a gig of ram, would I be able to put windows7 on without any issues? cheers..chris...

yes you can put win 7 but it will be very slow any less you upgrade the ram and memory -
the following link will tell you the minimum requirements to run win 7 o/s and looking at these the hdd is the biggest problem to running 7 as it is a small capacity, if you can replace the drive then after that it will be drivers for the hardware in the pc.......Windows 7 system requirements - Microsoft WindowssigpicComment

hi david, thanx for that but ive got it to work now, I know wot u mean though its runnin a bit slow due to the 20gb hdd and the 1.5 gig ram, I intend to upgrade them shortly, could u do me a favour while I'am talking to u at the moment could u send me the activator for windows7 if u have it as I seem to have deleted mine somewhere down the line..cheers..chris.........
