u need to make hidden files and folders visible - Open up any folder then click Organize/folder and search options/view/show hidden files, folders or drives

    next

most of ur saved software logs are stored in the appdata folder hidden on the C:\ drive - C:\users\YOU\appdata

In here u will find 3 folders Local, Locallow and Roaming

These folders contain the saved keys to your software

The best way to make this work for you is to install the software on the new install then simply find the keylog files by viewing hidden files thru appdata and replaceing that file with the old one Effectilvly patching the program

    hope this works

The only way this might not work is if the new installed windows is called something different from the last windows u used but if ur using windows 7 u can correct this (name of computer, name of user)

yes it should work on xp because all ur doing is updating the log file of the program
but like i said ur new windows will have to be called exactly the same as the old window to insure a clean update of the program u will patch
down side of this is that in XP u cannot change the name or computer ID unless u do a clean install
