ee broadband am i being done?

hi guys,i could do with a bit of advice as im not legally savvy but here goes,we decided to switch phone and broad band to ee on 3rd march,we recieved the box and service started on the 19th march, now the service isnt the best so we decided to cancel and go with plusnet, but when we phoned to cancel they said the 14 days cancelation period started from the 3rd march so we cant cancel.surely it should start from when the service actually starts not from when you sign up, but as i said im not up on these things, any advice would be great guys, thanx

That could not be correct as you had no oppertunity to test their broadband between 3rd. and 19 th. which they're trying to cover their ass with. Get back to them and mention Comreg (or your Countrys equivelent to Comreg -- I don't know where you're from) and that might shake them up.

tell them its was not fit for purpose m8. you wont be the first who will have done this with them, if plusnet can take you on and get your line transferred over tell them to go ahead and get with them. then get down to your bank and cancel any debit etc with them (ee) if you have that with them, at the end of the day its not good for ee to have customers upset over a bad service, tell them its even caused a family rift over the poor service kids are upset about it, tell them you lost yer job that's why you was looking for a cheaper isp, so you have no money if they want anything off you for cancelling, say you want something off them for been crap service,
