Well u need to go to My Computer/Uninstall Or Change A Program and uninstall all programs u do not want or use
(If u don't know what to uninstall then take a screen shot of the installed programs and we can tell you what u need to remove)
Run the cleaner and take the tick out of Cookies on windows and application tab (If u don't want your passwords saved by the browser(s) anymore then leave the tick in)
****yze then run Cleaner
A nalyze
When that done click on Registry tab and Scan for issues and then fix selected issues
Another way to avoid getting banners toolbars etc.. is to take the ticks out of installing programs that have automaticly ticked there box to install there crappy toolbar or something, jus take ya time when installing software

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware premium is excellent at the job, then you just need a half decent firewall, windows own firewall is pretty good, but there are others, It just depends on what you are doing and how high the level of protection you really need, the normal everyday user would be perfectly fine with what I have just suggested, but thats just another opinion, there are lots of stuff out there, but I find what I said is Excellent, up to yourself at end of day.
