connected laptop to tv no picture but have sound ??? help please

its a sony bravia tv , i can here the sound but theres no picture ?? not even when i dont have a film running i cant see my laptop screen on the tv .

ive connected it up with a vga cable then got another cable for the sound which is working ok

it sais no signal on tv althoe I can here sound ok

I have tried the resolution on the laptop but still no picture

one way to fix this is to rollback to the original stock driver that came with the computer

managed to sort it was messing around with the leads took the one out from the laptop put it back on and the laptop screen came up ..

yer I done that before I was having the trouble . at least its sorted now
