Google chromecast dongle, any good ?

I see a lot of places talking about the little google chromecast dongle that seemingly is pretty good etc.

BUT, in reality, is it really any good ?

Anyone know ?

do you need a really fast internet connection for using it to full effect, or does even quite low speed connections do the job ?

never heard of it myself, but have done a Google search.......time will tell tho

I've got one but don't use it any more, it's ok for what it does even on a low speed internet connection, (2mb here), but in my opinion my NowTV box with Plex loaded is more usefull and only costs ?10.

Ive got servers, nowtv apps here and apps there.. i bought a chromecast to cast HD football from my BT sport account and thats it! Yeah i could of just spent ?6 on a cable fae amazon and plugged it into the tv etc .. but.

I use my phone to talk and text.. if im screen mirroring i cant do that..

With chromecast i simply open the app on my phone, choose the channel! click the cast button and close the app.. the tv does the rest..

And i can take it on holiday and connect to the wifi in the hotels and watch english tv ..
