    Torrent programs not working

Hi guys, just looking for some info, i went to use the bit torrent program the other day for the first time in a few weeks to find if you double clicked the icon the program opens up for a second or two then closes again tried uninstalling & reinstalling several times to find it just does the same thing. Have tried with AVG off & also tried a few other programs like bit lord & u torrent (which i believe is the same as bit torrent) & they wont even install, just get part way then freezes. My isp is VM, is it possible they have blocked the programs in some way as i know they have blocked some torrent sites but you get a screen telling you this.
im using windows 7 64bit if that makes any difference.

uninstlling and reinstalling maynot solve the issue because of the registry the system keeps

get yourself a reg cleaner Download CCleaner 4.19.4867 - FileHippo.com

uninstall then run the cleaner Reboot then install again

Get bitcomet. And choose 32 or 64 bit depending on your pc. And choose dowload by http.

Once you have this installed,....The following might help.
Instead of clicking on download, click on magnet link. The magnet link will execute the torrent on your torrent program.

              ok firewall time

What antivirus are u using? go into it and see if its being blocked by it
Windows firewall:- Add your torrent client to the exceptions (allow)

Done the registry and files with the cleaner, it did show that it found some files from bit torrent & got rid of them. Im using AVG free & i have tried installing & running the programs with it turned off. I have now tried bit torrent, u torrent, bitlord & another one beginning with V, they all do the same thing, they run for a second or 2 then shut down.
during the install of each program it asks me to tick a box to add the program to the windows firewall exceptions.
ill try some of the other stuff mentioned aswell later when i get home.
is it possible that my ISP (VM) is blocking them ?

i cant see how VM could do that but nothing is impossible
maybe unplug the net and try opening them

u might have a virus is it only torrent clients that dont open? or do other programs (normal programs) do the same thing also?

                      maybe run Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0.3 - FileHippo.com

i use this program occasionally if i think there's a problem with my system but never leave it running after you have finished using it!

i havent installed this program in a while so make sure its just the malwarebytes_anti_malware you are installing and not a load of toolbars and other shit

Ok update time, last night i had a general clear out of old programs i dont really use, done another registry clean. After this i installed utorrent & rebooted, the program opened up fine, i picked a torrent & it downloaded no problem. Great i thought all sorted. Tried it again this morning & its doing the exact same thing again. Utorrent opens for a second or two then shuts straight back down again ??

Hi its a laptop, touchpad & buttons seem fine. Everything else & every other program works perfect, it only does it with torrent programs (4 different ones) Didnt run malware bytes yet as it worked last night after deleting all those programs & doing the registry clean, will try it toninght if i get a chance.

Does AVG have a guard mode inside the program? that could be the cause

                              If not try this
                              Uninstall torrent program
                              Run Ccleaner
                              Do a defrag on C:
                              Reboot
                              Install torrent program

Could have a bad sector on Hardrive
