amend scanned document

i have had a doc emailed to me that i need to change bits of the content

it came in JPG format now conberted to word and PDF

however i don't seem able to alter anything within?

any ideas please?

Why didn't you just edit the jpeg with something like Paint.Net, save it and then convert it to a pdf?
