    windows 10 recycle bin

hi, have downloaded win 10 uograde and am getting used to it.one thing though is I cannot find where the recycle bin is.if I delete something by mistake, there is no way I can restore it. have done the usual, checked box against rec bin, pressing apply/okay, but it still will not appear.i know its a new os but its annoying not to have it.thanks for any help.

hi JOK, in this os it doesn't work. you cant have shortcuts on the desktop as there is a separate folder called desktop where your shortcuts are placed.

hi, further to this problem. just had windows tech remotely put everything right, and I stand corrected. I had/didn't have it in tablet mode. he corrected that and now i've got everything back exactly as in win 8.1 that I had before. even got the shortcuts on the desktop. need to learn more about this OS.

Thread is almost aptly named, should be "windows 10 in the recycle bin"

Good choice to bin it 404, it's scary.

I just wonder how many folk will use it without researching it properly? Probably a high percentage

the thing is it wont be long before all new pcs have 10 on as standard and you cant change the os till the warranty is up.

No need to worry about losing anything with Skynet Windo$e 10. Microsoft have copies of it all. I am sure if you asked them for a copy they would only charge a small amount because after all it is there data now, not yours.

Windows 10 is designed to make MS more money, it's why MS are one of the most profitable companies on the planet. The will continue to upgrade and buy new computers because they think 10 is better than 8, than 7, than XP, than 2k, than anything before it, but what does it really do better than previous versions? Nothing, it's an O/S it's supposed to manage the resources of your hardware and deliver a user friendly (though more akin to user hostile) front end so that you can use the computer hardware that you paid for. All it really is is a ploy to get you to buy new hardware and new software again and again. Time to jump off the express
