Budget Gaming PC for ?350-ish

Hi Guys,

I am considering building my first gaming PC but have a budget of around ?350.
Ideally, would like to play Mortal Kombat X and Fifa 16 as an example

I can get a nice case for about ?30 but have not decided on what else I should go for. My thinking was
1. AMD or Intel Processor .. still do not know which is best for my budget (I looked at FX-6300 and FX-8350, as Intel seemed too expensive.
2. The motherboard seemed like an easier option in the case of AMD I chose the 78LMT-USB3 as a website (can I say the name of it) told me it was compatible.
3. I looked at 8GB of 1600 DDR3 RAM
4. An 80+ Bronze 500W PSU
5. A 2TB HDD
6. And finally a ?150-ish Video Card

.. trouble is it came to about ?500+

Can anyone either point my in the right direction for advice or gimme their suggestions

If ?350 is massively under-budget, I can always get a Xbox One but just wanted to explore options, before I took the plunge.

PS - One thing I noticed, is that I can get a cheap-ish i5 or i7 HP Tower and wondered if I could:-
a. take the bits out and put it into an ATX case inc the motherboard
b. If something like a i7-2600K would be sufficient to play those games.

You can use this hierarchy to compare the pricing between two processors, to see which one is a better deal, and also to determine if an upgrade is worthwhile. I don?t recommend upgrading your CPU unless the potential replacement is at least three tiers higher. Otherwise, the upgrade is somewhat parallel and you may not notice a worthwhile difference in game performance.

I would prob look for parts on gum or bay if i was building a pc.

There are plenty of ones on the bay that have good boards, ram, cpu etc you just have to know what you are looking for. Maybe start with board ie asus or gigabyte for instance the which socket it has for cpu then max ram it holds etc etc Try and go for min i53570k cpu LGA 1150 socket by the way it's better than some i7,s at least 750 power supply maybe msi gtx 760 twin frozr . Plenty of people sell crap but some build these and grow out of them so bargains can be had you just have to gen yourself up a bit more just a rough idea to get you started.
