install windows 7 from usb stick help please :(

hello chaps, I have several copies of windows 7 ultimate x64 on dvd's and thats how I have always installed windows.

However, with a new build I am not going to have any optical drive (dvd/cd drive), so I will be forced to install it from a usb
stick, I have a few usb sticks so thats not a problem.

BUT, what I need to know is how to get a version to stick on a usb drive/stick so that it will boot up from the stick and install from the usb too, I havent
    done that before ever.

Can someone tell me where to get it on the net and the full instructions please, dont worry about the code thing and all that,
I have a few of those, cheers guys, appreciated

If you already have the official Key then all you need to do is go to the Microsoft website and download

      Code:
      https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool

, its not a lappy mate, its a very small custom built machine, you'd maybe be surprised nowdays just how many good very small builds dont have room for a dvd/cd drive, they really aint needed nowdays as every single thing can be done much easier and much faster with usb 3 sticks and usb 3 ports, its always handy to have a spare external dvd/cd/blue ray drive though stuck in some drawer somewhere for the once in a blue moon you need one, its like me here, I must have used my dvd drive about one time in a whole year, waste of time really.

P.S, DIGICON, thanks for the link mate , cheers for that, will that allow me to create a bootable usb stick and also install windows straight from it, I know its not as straight forward as just downloading a normal dvd copy and throwing that onto a usb stick, it needs to be a bootable usb image or something like that if my memory serves me right ???

ohh I see, its just the tool that allows to create a bootable usb stick, I thought I had to have special version of windows downloaded that would boot from a usb stick, I will need to dig out my copies of windows and see if they are in fact ISO images or what, knowing my luck they will be something different, , they are just duf ones downloaded from the usual places on the internet, not originals

well, I checked the format of the dvd copies I had downloaded of windows 7 ultimate x64 from years ago and guess what, they are in a file format called "UDF", mannnnnn

They work fine to boot from dvd drives but that usb-dvd tool cant even see the disk man, its looking for an ISO image which it obviously isnt, is there a way to get the udf format changed to ISO ??? anyone know ?

when you run this it asks which drive is the USB stick, then it asks you which drive your windows install disc is in.. it wil then create the boot usb stick and put windows install files on to it for you.

Burn your iso to disc as proper files then it should work with that program..

Does anyone have a full copy of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 that also has Service Pack 1 included in it too ( it has to be in the ISO format) ?

Its best that its just the exact same as original and what I mean with that is its not been touched in anyway, nothing added, nothing removed, no serial codes or anything, untouched.

As I say, my copies work fine and are on dvd's that were blanks, they are totally untouched too but they are in that darn UDF file format and not ISO format and its turning out to be a right pain in the neck to somehow convert the UDF to ISO, I really would be better with an ISO copy.

There are lots of free high speed websites to use that allow people to upload large sized files such as windows or whatever, doesnt take long with a reasonable internet connection speed, once its complete it then asks you to then send the email invitation to share the file with someone like me that would be expecting it and then I simply click download and it downloads, easy as that, all ya need is my email address, thats all, I have used several of those free large file sharing sites before and they work like a charm, thats how I know they are ok, some of them only allow smaller sized files though but there are plenty free ones that basically allow nearly any size.

If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated, you can private message me if interested, thanks again

P.s, I think once upon a time years ago MS actually allowed free downloads of the op systems but no keys, but that was mega years back, I have been looking to see if any sites like that remain but they dont that I can see anyway, just the daft torrent sites and half the time you dont even know if the thing your downloading on torrents is ok or not, they are a bit of a pain in the neck too, hmmm.

with that usb stick creator is doesnt need iso file.. Needs standard DVD with files... it then copies the files to the usb stick.. I can make you a copy of my win7 64bit but wont have sp1.... the usb creator can then use that to install the files to the usb stick... then you just use your own key to register win7

just running that program now to see if it is the onei think it is

Actually is my bad, when i did mine my win10 is an .iso.

Will see if i can make iso of win7 for you

I have the full version of powerISO alec but I cant for the life of me work out how to convert a full UDF file of windows into a full ISO of windows, any chance of a quick step by step guide mate please ??

I am hopeless with all the disk burning/converting and all that stuff, used to be good at it back in the very old days but I have since forgot the lot really.

I found IMGburn (freeware version 2.4.4.0), that worked and got me my ISO image you need to watch out though, if you ever use imgburn make sure its version 2.4.4.0 or earlier because if its one of the newer versions they are totally loaded with nightmare candy adware etc. (I guess certain programs work a bit different for each persons own setups cause some things recomended to me didnt work).

So anyways, I managed to get the usb stick with windows on now but I tried testing it and as soon as the windows install screen comes up to tell me to select which launguage i need its then I notice my frkin wireless keyboard and mouse doesnt work, argggggg nightmare man, one thing after another
