    001, 002 files etc

recently a few things that i have downloaded have been 001, 002, 003 etc format.

i used to just right click on one and select open with winrar and they used to extract, but now since i have windows 7 on i'm getting the following error message
the archive is either in an unknown format or damaged
is there only a certain version of winrar that opens them or do i need another program?

    cheers

try opening the 1st 1 or using 7zip as could easily be in that format but winrar should open them

        THE TRUTH
        The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
