Can't open serial portcom1

I am trying to put some firmware on a tv box I have the loader / firmware unzip it but keep getting the same message please check if the com port has the following parameters. Baud rate:115200bps-parity; no parity-databyte :8bit/data-stop bit :1 anybody have any ideas thanks

Can you see the com port listed in device manager?
Can you upgrade the box through ethernet or wireless?
