Search the software section of this forum, there some software you can try. Dont ask whether it works or not coz i havent tried it myself.

      security type: WPA - PSK
      Radio Type : 802.11g

WPA - PSK will take a looooooong time to brute force.

Unsecured is a trivial matter just connect.

WEP is also fairly trivial, a few hours of brute forcing with a slowish computer and your essentialy good to go.

WPA on the other hand will take ages.

Aircrack is good as is Kismet (for sniffing out wifi, but in this case you already have an access point so it would be fairly useless)

Your wifi card also needs to be able to use raw monitor mode (monitor mode/ rfmon) for it to be of any real use in cracking an accesspoint.

to have any real shot at it you need to be pretty familiar with the WPA - PSK ptotocol. you'll also need to be runing a flavour of linux for the tools to be truky useful and you'kk need some fairly decent wifi hardware.

I could talk you through it for the most part but it will be a long drawn out heavily technical post, which i suspect is not what your after.

If you want to try google 'russix'. Its a linux with wireless cracking tools included.

This link was shared on this forum by 'mrtell' THANKS!

oops just realised this is for WEP, have a google and see if anything on russix can hack WPA

started a thread in networking re: wpa psk.

Ive not slept in over 36 hours and ive been completely hungover so expect it to be a little unrefined and incomplete, i'll start editing and finish the thing when i eventualy wake up.

hi when you go to russix.com the site seems to have been taken down, any ideas where else to get this from, or if it even works?......
