    whats the best laptop i can get for ?450

    hi all,

    ive got ?450 to spend on a laptop, what would you recommend. i use the computer mainly for photos and music and surfing.

    Have a look at Aldi home page, on sale 10th Dec' 3yrs warrantee. if u want it get there v.early. ?400.
    Wop's made a clanger sorry I spotted this on the Medion.com shop this morning, just checked again and the add has gone!!!!!!!!!!

          theres load a sales on yal be spoilt for choice
          ya say ya only use it for photos and music
          but once ya get used to using them you will find yourself doing a lot more with it ie downloading films and watchin them through your tv downloading random programmes etc so go for one with a good hard drive
          good ram
          has hdmi maybe for hooking to telly or vga
          a good graphics card for playing games

            that should give a idea for your money.... i bought 1 of these about 18months ago for ?530... great piece of kit and not to shabby looking.

                  Acer as a rule are ok but nothing outstanding, as usual with the lower end laptops the software that is preinstalled is either not to good or trial, the best way around this is to look carefully through all the software and remove any that is not required, this will speed your system up, another point with acer is that they do suffer from overheating problems if not used in the correct manor..ie:-dont sit with the laptop resting on your knee or pillow or bed, this can block the airflow through the bottom of the system and eventually cause the system to fail, all laptops are dependant on airflow to keep them cool but some are worse than others in design, i deal with laptops every day and overall good performers are dell systems, asus, and the higher end samsung, as with most things in life "buy cheap ,,,buy twice"
