    VPN Slowing Internet Down?

Is it normal to experience a significant drop in speed when using a VPN? I signed up with NordVPN and I have found my speeds to be 70 Mbps without the VPN and 30 Mpbs with the VPN through a UK VPN server. Is this the be expected? Anyone else using NordVPN and noticing similar figures?

Yes, very to be expected :-)

The purpose of VPN is to connect to the internet via many servers by going in and out of servers in a long chain so no one can see where you originally came from. And this will cause the delay.

all VPN collect information about you, I think only privateinternetaccess doesn't log information about users, but they are not for free.
