Can I alter my hard drive partition

I have bought my daughter a new laptop and I have taken her old one, it is a Acer Travelmate 4222LMi.
The Hard Drive is 60Gb, the trouble is that the partion is 30Gb 'C' Drive and 30Gb'D' Drive, this drive is taken up by Acerdata which is only taking roughly 3Gb.

Is there any way of reducing the 'D' drive to give me more space on the 'C' drive without totally wiping out the 'C' drive. If not will there be a problem with storing data i.e data files or music files etc. on the 'D' drive along with the Acerdata?

Partiton magic or similar will do that for you.

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
