    NFS Server for Windows 7

    Hello,

I'm looking for a NFS Server which is working under Windows 7 (Build 7100 RC1).

I've already found Microsoft Server For Unix, but the complete package has got a size of over 200MB, and I'm connected through the Internet via UMTS temporarily, so I can't download big files like these (I hate the German Telekom -.-).

I've already installed the Test-Version of HaneWin NFS Server, but my dbox 2 won't recognize it if I try to mount it.

Anyone got a small alternative working under Win7?^^

    Greetings, Alucard2050

If you have some Windows boxes in the network, then it might be better to choose Samba/CIFS. Natively, Windows doesn't support NFS. You would have to get a third party client application to be able to access your NFS shares.

I would recommend in your case using a Samba server, plenty of free ones out and will do the job you want - as I assume you want your DBox to connect/transfer files to the Windows server.
