Change HDD on Dell laptop

Hi mates,
My HDD got faulty and I need to change it. Original HDD is western digital and I tried to change with kinstong ssd one but it doesn't plug well. Can anyone help which ssd I need to buy?

It should fit fine. The SSD is the standard SATA interface, albeit it may be a bit thinner, so sometimes you may need to fit a piece of plastic to get it closer or to sit comfortably on your motherboard.

Like this photo the SSD may/should have come with a backing plate to stick on This way it will be same thickness as a normal 2.5" HDD
