    what am i missing

    i have rebooted my xp computer because of some viruses,but every thing is fine now ,the problem i have now is i download films ,burn them to disc and watch on dvd player but they are not recognized,saying they are unsupported,i have reinstalled all the files i need ie codecs, winrar ,burning with nti dvd maker ,all to no avail ,am i missing something?the film will play back on computer ,but not on my player,every thing worked before i rebooted ,please help

    you using -r discs m8 ??

      Pop a disc into the pc, if its a dvd video disc should have 2 folders at the root

      Audio TS
      Viseo TS

      If you have .avi/mpeg files then you aint converting them, meaning your dvd player cant play them unless you buy a divx player

          i have a player that plays nearly all formats including div x,as i said everything was ok until i rebooted

            post us the NFO that comes with the films, also the make and model of the player

              i also had this problem that i could not burn discs
              it was a missing file on windows so i reformated and the reinstalled windows again and everything was bk to normal so u never no

                it is a dvdrip xvid, and i have a toshiba rdxv47kb ,i asked at work today and someone said it could be a driver issue ,what do you think?

                    Have you got the older discs it will read?

                    Have a look and compare the differance. What program are you using to burn the discs?

                    I would also check for any firmware updates ect for the player to add more support

                        look i know this souynds simple but its going to work did for anyone thats asked me about the same problem go and get winavi 8 or 9 you can get it from any torrent with a key and convert and burn using that program problem solved ppl
