Winternals
I tried Winternals in a situation like that and was able to use a program within winternals called LOCKSMITH. That will show you all the accounts including Administrator and will allow you to alter or change the password. Upon startup, after system boots you should be able to login using the new password you have assigned through locksmith. Hope this works also. It is alot easier. Shouldn't be hard to do at all.
