Limewire

Hi,.Ive had Limewire for a couple of years, and always updated it whenever it needs an update..Ive tried to go on Limewire today and it wont connect..I checked to see if i need a new update, which i did..Im currently on 5.4.6., but theres a new update to 5.6.6...I went onto cnet to download it, and for some reason its being VERY slow...Its been downloading for over 1 hour, and is still only on 27%..Anyone else having probs?.cheers,...Its the free basic Limewire.

Once, I've had same Limewire's "no connection" problem. After searching many hours I found the solution. I deleted below file and limewire connected quickly:

"C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\LimeWire\gnutella.net"

Try and post the result.

terriers, have you heard of newsgroup files..? NZB's.. Way faster and the programs arent full of spyware
