I have just got a new pc Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
Compaq with dual core amd processor, can I install a second hard drive & run XP Pro on it.
The pc does have xp mode on it, but I cant seem to get it running properly, the processor supports virtual pc & I have installed xp mode & had it running, it just wont load the programm I want to.

or you can run microsofts vm ware, its free as far as i know, this will let you install and run your apps without having too reboot, not as puchy as if your running strait off the o.s but can save you allot off time and messing about re booting

Microsoft has added several new features to Windows Virtual PC to make it easy to use and to help you run many older Windows XP applications in Windows 7. Maybe you can try that.

If you want Dual boot. Try installing the lower windows version and then the higher version on the other partition.
