    Which PC to buy?

    Hi guys,

I'm looking at getting a new PC soon but would appreciate some advice about which spec to go for.

With the new Core i3 / i5 / i7 range just come out i'm confused.

Anyone have any thoughts about the systems below?

I use my desktop for word processing, a bit of dtp, internet. I belive in investing in new technology but don't know how to rate the new processors.

for what your using your macine for i really wouldn't worry too much between the processors as they will deal easily with word proccessing abit of DTP and web browsing ( iwon't blind or boar you with the science bit ) they all have enough memory for windows 7 and for what your using it for ( but i always say you can never have too much memory as operating systems and apps get bigger and will keep things more punchy.
1 TB hard disk is gonna be more than enough for backing up your data, i wouldn't go for system 3 which looks like its using onboard graphics, system 4 looks good on price (cheaper than 3 with a graphics card) and it'll be fine for what your using it for, system 1 if you don't mind paying extra ???? will be allot more future proof as the spec is that much higher..
Hope this helps, maybe get system 3 and spend the rest on a nice 22+ monitor it makes a diffence believe me :-)

Buy a decent process with 4gb of ram and you won't go far wrong, if you are not a die hard gamer but like to play the odd game get an i5 750, 4gb ram & a ?30 graphics card, you won't be dissapointed.

You don't need 8Gb of Ram for Word processing or browsing, especially if it's a ddr3 memory. I think in your case system 4 will do good. If you like games than system 1 it's not bad at all....

Tks --- can u explain about the ddr3 memory?

I know i could probably get a pc with a lower spec, but i want something with a bit of zip to it!

Sorry for the delay, I just got back off of holiday.
8GB is only going to be any use to you if you do a lot of rendering or photoshop work that sort of thing.
You definitely don't need more than 4GB.
