Try burning at the lowest speed. What software are you using.

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

this may seem to be a daft solution but have you turned off screen saver as this can effect the burning software when it kicks in.

Might well be your burner mate. How old is it? Used to have this problem with one I had sometime ago. It would continually skip at certain parts. I would say get a new burner, cheap enough nowadays.

It could also be a compatability issue with the media and burner. Try another make of cd but your burner does sound favourite.

I doubt that is the issue, PCs are not as slow as they were, and majority are capable of multi-tasking without problem. I burn a DL disk, whilst downloading, and surfing, and converting a film to vob.
