Try rrrrrnnn, and confirm with Enter or hold Ctrl then press Enter.

Thank you for your help Hashim1. I understood I had to literally try entering five lowercase "r" characters, followed by 3 lowercase "n" characters. I tried doing that, and confirmed first with Ctrl-Enter, then tried the same with Enter, but it said "Incorrect password entered!" in both cases.

Hello again @Hashim1. From looking at another thread, I am guessing now that when you told me to try with rrrrrnnn, you meant the laptop's disk serial number. But this doesn't work for me; my serial number is 194524D97A20 and I tried entering that with both Ctrl-Enter and Enter, it didn't work in both cases. Can you provide any other suggestions? Thanks!
