always had problems with wifi in bedroom as router in livingroom and house is a bit of an odd shape.only ever got 1mbps max out of a 20mbps connection,so got one of those wifi dongles with booster aerials.still no joy,1mbps-2mbps max.anyway to cut a long story short my daughter got me 1 of those huge big stone mugs that say best dad for fathers day and i was feeling kind of thirsty today so i made a mug(well about 3 mugs worth actually)and put it in large mug said daughter bought for aforementioned fathers day.took it through bedroom and put it on desk beside wifi booster aerial and lo and behold it shot up to 18mbps.now i'm assuming its some sort of stone reflecting the signal back kind of thing but i thought it was interesting and suffice to say i now have said mug as a permanent feature on my computer desk and daughter thinks i am proud of my best dad mug
