pics programme

I need to doctor a few pics of my mates hoiday snaps.
I need a easy programme to either download or can I use my computer.

The best is Adobe Photoshop, there are links on here somewhere for CS5 (latest version).

There's also ACDSee, but nowhere near as good as photoshop.

if you just want to adjust light and darkness and the like without masking and all that then a good simple one is picassa,dont cost anything.
