have got altbinz downloaded,and have put the virgin media address into the server list,but everytime i try to connect i just get a scrolling message saying unable to connect.so heres the problem folks-what have i done wrong? could really do with an idiots step by step guide.

If its anything like newsleecher, you input the server address to which you subscribe to e.g. astraweb. You pay for the GB you download. -
i thought virgin media newsgroup was free.hang on a minute-do i need to subscribe to them first?Comment

in the server address enter news.virginmedia.com make sure port 119 is selected and you should be good to go

have done that and it now connects,have selected one of the little search names and when it comes to search for what i want it comes up parsail fail (or words to that effect.)and nothing happens at all if i use any of the other little search buttons.Comment

You need to download nzb's from other sites. Its exactly the same as torrents. Use sites to search for what you need. Also you only get 7 days retention with VM.sigpic

got it sorted now folks,couldnt get my head around the fact that i was just downloading an adress and had to put this downloaded file into the search bar on altbinz,got something downloading now so will see what happens.Comment
