dvd drives not found on pc.

don't know what i have done, but i have just purchased a new DVD rw writer, i have taken out the existing drives and put them in different places so cables could reach them all.

all ribbons and satas are in the correct place, they all eject the only problem i have is that my PC does not pick up any of the original drives in (my computer).

it may be that you need to install new drivers .check out some of the sites that have all the latest drivers.

just taken it to PC world they want ?70 plus parts?

they say no drives can be found on PC?

is it worth it? or can i do it myself.

, do it yourself. they know, no more than you.

i take it they are ide drives?

make sure the order is correct is, the 1st plug is your excisting drive and the second is the new one

all working now and was very simple to do! cant believe PC world wanted that amount of cash for a 30sec fix...

i only went into device manager noticed that all my drives had red crosses on them, i clicked on the drive then windows asked if it could re install. job done....
