c d wont play on c d player but plays on laptop

hi. i wonder if any one can help ....i ve bought some c d s and burnt now 77 to it .....it plays on the laptop but does not play on the c d player...i wondered if it s formatting differently...many thanks in advance

i dont have nero m8 i just use window s to convert

my car cd player will only play ones that r burned at 2x

it might be the wrong format and did you use windows media player to burn it? if not try that as it should work

when you burn a cd you have to use the correct settings. are you burning mp3? does your car support mp3? some burners will burn wav that wont play in all cd players for some stupid reason. the best thing to do is dl the free version of nero and burn the cd

Where did Now 77 come from is it original cd or d/l. And you will need to tell us what settings you are using.

i have a fully working copy on nero 7, you can have.
pm me if you want it...

but windows media player is perfect for burning to disks.
click burn options and change to "burn audio disk"
click burn and drag and drop tracks to play/burnlist on right hand side

i put it on i tunes and burnt it to audio cd and it still wont play thro the c d player but does thro the lappy ...any suggest s where i m goin wrong btw i m usin cd r disc s i ll try the suggestions on ere n get bac to u s cheers

i'm wodering if you are burning mp3's.

put the disk into your lappy.

then go into my computer

right click on the disk and select explore

then check the files on the disk and see if they are mp3's

out of interest, how long is it taking to burn a disk?

firstly a big thank you to all who have replied ,,cheers.. firstly i used window s to burn it just on the setting s it was on .didnt alter any thing and it only played on the lappy not c d then..i ve used i tunes to burn the album ,it was a download from here ,,,mp 3 s,,,,, in the music section,,,,now 77 ...made a playlist of it on i tunes....burnt it to audio cd..... didnt work on the girl friends c d player but then put in her lil girls c d player and it worked and as i did it for her ..every thing s ok ...so again big thank you again for those takin the time to help.....the girl friends daughter is delighted and is dancin like a loon with it on full blast as i type this ....happy days ..

sorry cant remeber wat it was on window s but on itunes it s set to 'audio cd' and work s ok
