i think i would consider as to what use it will be used for then look for a laptop as there are good ones in a lower price range.

dont buy an acer. they are good value for money but if something goes wrong in the warranty period their customer service is pants. I have bought 3 acer laptops and the latest needed a fix under warranty.what a hassle it was to get it fixed, never again.

          have to agree with that.
i have an acer desktop, which broke down after 4 months.

had a right carry on with acer trying to get it repaired, they expected ME to make arrangements with courier companies etc.
and their instructions were sketchy at best.

i eventually took my pc back to shop where i bought it from(currys) and asked them to sort it....

to their credit they amdmitted acers customer service was pish and sorted it all out for me.
