u mean after u get capped ,, if yes no , l download big stuff at night now like gamesany information provided is for educational/experimental purposes only. -
Didn't think there would be but it seems that there is no specific time for them lifting cap. Maybe I should just lay of big files for a few days but seeing as they only have 7 day retention it's not that easy. I'm having the same sort of problem with megaupload saying I have exceeded d/l limit after 4/5 hundred megs though. Is now scratching head and considering changing wifi password.Comment

It seems as though overnight is the logical answer but can I queue jobs in grabit so they will all d/l before auto shutdownComment

The throttle is only supposed to take effect at peak times after you've downloaded a certain number of GB depending on the time-window. I make it my policy to only download at off-peak times.
See here and here
However, over the past 3/4 weeks my d/l speeds even at off-peak times have gone from being a solid max of 10Mb to an inconsistent yo-yo'ing of between 3-8Mb. When this is happening, I've checked my connection at Broadband Speed Checker - THE UK's No.1 Broadband Speed Test and it reckons I'm getting a full 10Mb.
I'm in the West Yorkshire area.Comment

If that's the official statement from virgin they tell lies. If I hit download cap they don't give me back full speed till 1 minute past midnight and I usually hit cap after about 1.5gb, and that also applies if I don't start d/l till after 9pm. Just wish they would stop moving the goalposts. I've been with them for years but as they have increased the speed of connection the restrictions have got tighter. Why can't they just leave us alone after all we only want to try before we buy. Apparently.Comment
