Its depends on the spec of the components...

What is the quad core cpu model? intel i5/phenomx4 etc.. and what motherboard is in it.. these usually justify the price because any pc can sound powerful but may well have cheap parts and/or low spec parts...

Like that ram for example could be old cheap ddr2 667 ram, the cpu may be an old core 2 quad which are just 2 core 2 duos dies bridged- again cheap.. even the psu may be cheap, just because its 800 watts doesn't mean it's good quality or expensive. And software can be cracked so easily nowadays its basically a sales gimmick to make pc's more appealing to a buyer...... you see alot of pc's in papers and stuff claiming to be a latest gaming pc with similar specs, then when you take a closer look they're build from last gen components and won't perform for the price

I'd say even if its low end components then it'd be worth about 250-350.. but if the parts are good spec'ed components then maybe 500-700 or more depending

For me, towers, hard drives, dvd burners and all them other 30-50 quid parts don't make me judge it. If its got a good motherboard capable of good upgrade potential and has a descent spec in it already then I may buy it for a high price.. but there are people deceived by the fact its a quad core with 4gb of ram and a good gpu think its a high-end spec and try and sell it for a lot more than its worth, when infact its just a very normal priced computer

be hard to price without accurate names of the parts.when building
or thinking of buying nowadays have to think down the line because
      you want it to last.

everyone has there personal choice of parts of what to use brands etc

psu: varies on the type people want and some people get them for
sli or crossfire as but should at least 600 due to the graphics cards
      nowadays

case: everyone varies on the case because they like there own and
there are many types now atx mini itx micro atx shuttles htpc cases.
but for a main pc atx cases are the best or htpc better space.

cpu: if you going with the quad try to make sure it over the 3ghz for gaming.
there are better options for computers nowadays you quad core is good but you
have six cores as well like the 1090t.

      1090t (just to show)

cpu coolers:stock coolers keep them cool but sometimes more is needed
like sometimes people use more powerful air coolers or go like liquid cooling
corsair h70's for example or customise there liquid cooling setup in the case.

      Corsair H70 (just to show)

motherboard: i agree with sirus good motherboard is important because a lot of things are on it
chipset the ram slots which determines what ram your going to use for the computer.like a good
motherboard should have usb 3 ddr 3 sata 3 good chipsets sound somethink like an Asus Crosshair IV

      Asus Crosshair (just to show)

ram: always important depend on the type the timings as motheboards can only use certains ones.

hard drives: again everyone has their own choices on the brands 1-2 tb good sizes for drive depends
on the type drive you have.certain types can only go up to certain sizes at the moment like SSD but
there fast also if looking for speed in pay attention to the cache and rpm on any hard drive there buying.

examples of hard drives sizes and speeds (just examples)

      2tb seagate barricuda
Seagate Barracuda ST32000542AS 2TB 3.5" SATA II Hard Drive - 3yr Warranty - Aria Technology

western digital 10k rpm 32mb cache

      WD 600GB VELOCIRAPTOR 3.5" Hard Drive 10,000 RPM.. | Ebuyer.com

      ocz vertex 2e

read speed 285mb/sec write speed: 275mb/sec
OCZ Vertex 2E 120GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive - Aria Technology

      graphics cards

there will always be a discussion on which is better nvidia or ati also depends on motherboard
and the psu in some cases because some are sli and crossfire certified but beyond that.theres
really no difference now really just frame rates. the 5770 was the first dx 11 i think so you will
      have the lastest directx

      Drives-opitcal

depends on the user what media they want to play dvd hd bluray etc.

      windows 7

each version is different the lower in versions you go the more features are disabled

to see the difference (scroll down to see the chart)
