    Widows 7 and XP

Ok, so the company I work for has a program that we run (Flexi 8) that will not run on Windows 7. We just bought 5 computers with Windows 7 on them. One of them needs to run this program. I'm attempting to "downgrade" from 7 to XP. My computer knowledge is not minimal, but it's not that of an expert either. I've tried to do it just from an XP disk, but it will not work. It gives me the 0x0000007B stop error. Do I have to format the hard drive and then install from the disk or what? Thanks for any help.

what windows 7 is installed on the PC's mate. one of these, Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate or another version if one of the previous you could have a look at this

    Code:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/install-and-use-windows-xp-mode-in-windows-7
before attemping to install XP on the system instead of win7 make sure that there are software drivers available for XP from the pc manufacturer.

you could also try a dual boot with xp and win7

    Code:

Did a chat with Dell and they said that they have to send me a Windows 7 CD so I can uninstall 7 and then put the XP CD in and install it. Thanks for all of the help. It's greatly appreciated.

We just installed an ran FlexiPro 8.1 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit today, no problem. You do have to download the sentinel drivers from their website instead of directly off the CD.

You could always keep win7 and use XP-Mode. Free from MS

            Download Windows XP Mode

Edit: Sorry Allycoops - only just noticed your link above.
