    Anti Virus!!!. What Anti Virus?

No wonder most of the computers are loaded with viruses due to free software download, patching software. I just can't get it.

I hate to say this but your computer will need more than anti virus.

I don't mean this by a bad way but I am sure you have had problems with your computer in the past due to looking for free software the same as your links above. is so sad.

look if you do a survey you will find most broken down computers are using some sort of illegal software loaded with viruses.

Salami, I reckon that there is nothing FREE about free software and that the provider has some clawback whether it be gathering information or something else.
Most people have some form of protection be it the ones in your link or premium versions of same or other.
Like swine flu etc. someone will always invent a new strain that even the best anti virus wont stop.

, I've used all of those mentioned.
now i still use the comodo firewall. but i junked the AV a couple of years ago. it was not as effective as it could have been.

Avira was great. but the upgrade system was a farce (the considered 175k a big update!). but all in all it performed fine.

AVG, to me, is well past its "sell by" date. mind you, i haven't tried it for several years.

I now use MS security essentials, in combination with comodo firewall. i have nothing to report. though it pains me to say, it seems totally effective. working in the background, with little intrusion into your use.

Your "payment" is the reports of bug you have come across. these are rolled up and issued. every new virus found, by you AV, it a feather in its cap.
its no surprise that Kesperski has slipped off the "best buy list". they have too few members to keep it well protected. proving that a "free" option, often IS what makes an AV suite good.

If it aint broke, don't fix it!
If its broke, fix it and use it again!
If it proper broke, use it for something else!

All the systems that I use, or have been working on, all have Comodo firewall, Avast & Malwarebytes installed before I do anything else.

Malwarebytes picks up a lot of 'malicious' IP addresses, most of which are false reports due to the IP not being on it's white list.

Comodo has picked up threats from virus & other nasties before Avast even see's the files. Even though I don't install the anti virus package it does a bloody good job.

Avast is the last line of defense, to be honest it doesn't have to do much. But I've only had one virus since I've ran this combination, and it was totally my fault....looked suspicious, smelt suspicious...but I still downloaded & installed it...D'oh!

                Hi,
My link on my post just to let everyone aware of that there is nothing for free I've been fixing PCs and laptops for a long time now, do you know what? is about 85% of computers I fixed is down to viruses that some times kill the hardware or at least make's it unusable until you format your hard drive. I know for fact that some of DK members has lost very valuable informations by doing so, if you noticed the reply I got from the gentlemen bellow my first post providing a link to download some sort of anti-virus from file host, that will not help is only adding fuel to fire. Anti-virus companies have a total control on the product, once that application is installed on the machine anywhere in the world they can get access to it no problem, here what they do.
They allocate a specific update that automatically downloaded and make the computers as test ground to gain some information to develop their product to sale.
I am only trying my best and my knowledge and make the people aware of what is going behind the scene.
I am only here to help and I hope you guys what ever you do with your computer is your private business just be careful and be smart.
