you need to know what outputs you're computer has and what inputs you're tv has. do they both have dvi, hdmi, or standard vga?

If you have a plasma or LCD TV you may have HDMI or VGA. If it's a monitor you'll have DVI.
My setup is DVI (From GFX Card) to HDMI (TV) with a back to back 3.5mm audio cable going to the TV clearly labelled VGA.Comment
