    Remote access software

This one is for the hackers or real tech geeks here!

I am planning to install remote access software on my home PC, namely NTR Connect. It supports 256-bit AES encryption and 2-factor remote authentication. As well as the option of locking down access to certain IP addresses/ranges etc.

It seems secure to me, but is there any big reason out there NOT to use this type of application? Provided it is all configured appropriately?

    Cheers,

    Phil

It sounds like a very good one to me, 256 AES will stop the most ardent of snoopers, the rest of its security you list will make most give up before they start.. IPs can be spoofed as can MACs, unless your a bank or a goverment agency most will not be bothered with you..
