hi all, i got an old laptop drive 40gb and i got a caddy off the bay. when i connect it up the the flashes once and it doesn't show up on the pc. how can i tell if the hard drive is dead or the caddy is dodgy? also do i need jumpers on the hard drive? the drive came out of an old advent laptop that woudn't boot up.
