    how to build a nas media server

    hi guys has anyone build a nas ??? if so where dose one start to build one ??? use old pc ??? or buy all new, what is needed?? will be just used to store my music and movies and my 200+ hd-dvds so i think i will be looking for about 6tbs if not more

      I personally wouldnt go down old pc route.. as imo it would use too much electricity.

              thing is guys just put new 1tb hdd into pc just for my hd movies and with only 28 hd movies on it i have used up 498gbs so if i got the same amount on 55-60 will bring it to the 1tb this is why i was looking at the server
