my norton account is coming up for renewal and was wondering what the best free antivirus is avaliable at the moment.any help will be gladly recieved.

Norton anti-virus is too critical, and in my experience will slow your computor down, I personally like AVG which can be downloaded from somewhere like download.com and is completely free, also consider installing something like CCleaner or Advanced System Care which will just tweak your computor that little extra by clearing temps and cookies etc, these too are free...Comment

Any free antivirus as good as the pay ones as long as you keep updating them every few days mate, with AVG antivirus some programmes you have to disable AVG in order to install them.
Tools owned: Hammer, Chisel, Crowbar, Punch, Chainsaw, Cutter and Brain!!!
