    windows protection suite

daughter visited site to download teaching aids for her kids games etc...as soon as she got on a warning appeared eg your pc is infected to remove pay xx dollars to subscribe she did not pay but now left with no access to the net, tried virus scan, spybot , and malwarebytes cannot remove this is a pretty nasty infection which i believe can only be removed manually although various forums claim this may not be enough to completely remove said infection as well as being pretty complicated to remove by this method.ps spybot does pick it up but when try to remove you get the message (an unexpected error uccured)i can see the only cure being a clean install of opp system...unless any of you guys have a easier solution.

you could try running a antivirus installed on a usb drive which will not be affected by the virus which is infecting the pc.

The easiest & probably the quickest way is to format the drive, start from scratch.

You will be able to back up non-recoverable data onto CD/DVD or external drive before you start.

It's not what you wanted to hear, but it will save you pulling all your hair out trying to remove the nasty.
