how to get rid of mcafee

as title says how do you get rid of mcafee ?mates mrs has it on the putter but it ran out and the bloody screenie thing keeps coming up when she starts up

might sound simple but saw this on another pooter i just explored c drive and deleted anything with mcafee on it, sorted it oot.

best bet ive found is to get revo uninstaller and put it on hunter mode gets rid of any left over files, its free !!!!

This may stop the pop up but it will not get rid of all the mcafee files on the pc and may lead to further problems later as other versions of antivirus can cause program conflicts when installed if mcafee has not been removed fully.
I've never come across a version of mcafee that could not be uninstalled
Have a read of this from the mcafee website on how to uninstall. It may be a different version and if this option is not available it should have an uninstall feature available from the "add/remove programs" in the "control panel"

As zaps says try revo ted Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

I've always used Your Uninstaller to get rid of it but any uninstall program should do the job,
Got to say the machines run much better without it

MacAfee is the shite if you ask me, I paid ?38.00 few years back thinking that the software will last me for my life time, after 12 months MacAfee started nagging wanted another ?16.00 to upgrade I told them to fak***f, as you say had to format the hard drive to get ride of the screen nagging they just not easy to uninstall.
