Circuit board 3.5mm jack to phono

    Hi,
It's not really a pc question so to speak, but I thought I'd more than likely get an answer in this area with it been electronics based.

Basically, I have a mobile freeview box which connect to the tv via a 3.5mm jack to 3 phono leads, like this

[ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Phono-Audio-Video-Cable/dp/B000Q6JQYY]3.5mm Jack to 3 x RCA Phono Lead Audio / Video AV Cable: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics[/ame]

However, I always get a black and white picture for the freeview (works fine when set to analogue, i get the picture in colour)

So I was wondering, would I be able to solder the phono cables directly onto the circuit board, and would it work?

Heres some images of the circuit board

The AV output is the left 3.5mm jack

    Thanks,
    Lee

I don't think it's the leads you have a problem with, it's either the output on the board or input on the tv.

I have a Sumvision Cyclone box for upscaling avi films played from a USB stick. It works fine with all my tv's, except my 7" portable LCD tv, always black & white.

Hard wiring the lead won't solve the problem.
